A native of Massachusetts, Heather has lived in North Carolina since 2004 with a brief stint in the Washington DC area. A graduate of Smith College, she spent her early career in Human Resources in the university and city government sectors. After the birth of her daughter in 2006, she left Human Resources to stay at home full-time while also building a portfolio of investment properties with her husband. With a teenager and tween currently, she is ready for a new challenge and is excited to be working as part of a team at Acorn & Oak. She spends a lot of time watching her kids play soccer and other sports but also enjoys reading, hiking with her two dogs, volunteering regularly with TABLE (a non-profit organization that provides hunger relief and nutrition education services to children) and spending time with friends.
