Fall Maintenance: Get Your Rental Properties Ready for the Cozy Season!

1. Leaf Those Gutters Alone! 🍂

Okay, let's be real, those colorful falling leaves are beautiful... until they clog up your gutters and cause water damage! And we all know water damage is a landlord's worst nightmare. So, before the leaves pile up, make sure those gutters are clean and clear. Your roof (and your wallet) will thank you.



2. Winterize Like a Pro ❄️

NC winters can be a bit unpredictable, so it's always best to be prepared. Seal up those drafty windows and doors with weatherstripping and caulk. A little effort now can make a big difference in keeping your tenants warm and cozy all winter long.


3. Furnace TLC: Keep the Heat On! 🥶

Speaking of staying warm... when's the last time you showed your furnace some love? A quick inspection and tune-up can prevent those dreaded middle-of-the-night emergency calls from freezing tenants. (Unless they run out of pumpkin spice lattes... then you might be on your own. 😉)


4. Deck the Halls... I Mean, Decks! 🌳

We know how much our North Carolina tenants love their outdoor spaces, but even decks need a little attention this time of year. Give them a good cleaning, check for any loose boards or railings, and make sure everything is safe and sound for those crisp fall evenings.
